Acquiring a Guitar

From the first thoughts of ordering an instrument, having a custom guitar created is a unique and exciting journey for the musician. We start with ideation, discussing the desired instrument, musical styles, your favorite guitar characteristics and other factors. My role is to understand what makes music special to you and how your instrument participates. This becomes the genesis of a very special instrument crafted just for you.

An online photo gallery at our web site captures every step of a guitar’s creation. I typically take between 250 to 300 photographs. You may share that gallery with others, ask questions and enjoy the creative process. Having a guitar built for you is a special experience—one whose journey should be enjoyed from ideation to sound. As a musician I’ve had the good fortune of having several guitars built for me by other luthiers. For the cost of the guitar, not only did I receive a great instrument but also a journey and an education! It’s a pleasure to share that experience with you.

All guitars are created with top quality woods and delivered in a hardshell case. All electric guitars come with hand wound pickups made specifically for each guitar. Instruments are warrantied to the original owner for my working life as a luthier.
